Dr Yassine Alibet is a senior resident ophthalmologist in the Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy in Odessa, Ukraine, the largest eye hospital on the territory of the former Soviet Union. He has previously received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2012 and obtained the certificate of specialized training in medicine (clinical ordinatura) in 2014 - Full postgraduate course of specialization in ophthalmology in the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine.

He is certified in the evaluation, medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases by Shupyk National Medical Academy of postgraduate education in Kiev, Ukraine.

Dr Alibet has a high level of clinical and surgical knowledge as he has performed by himself a number of intraocular injections, laser treatments, vitrectomy and buckling interventions and assisted in a large number of vitrectomy interventions. He is now writing his thesis in the field of retinal detachment complicated by choroidal detachment. He has a patent for determining of the ciliary body thickness at its detachment and a number of abstracts and articles in the field of retinal detachment complicated by choroidal detachment, as published in such famous ophthalmological journal as Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology.

In May 2013, Dr Alibet has been present at the international ophthalmological congress "White Nights" (St. Petersburg, Russia).

In March 2014, Dr Alibet attended the 12th international scientific and practical conference "Modern Technologies in Vitreoretinal Pathology Treatment".

Dr Alibet has been present at the Filatov's memorial lectures during 2014, 2015, 2016 years (Odessa, Ukraine).

Dr Alibet attended wetLab and obtained a certificate in "first approach to vitreoretinal surgery", "combined surgery with intraocular tamponade" and "vitrectomy for complicated cataract surgery" that took place during the 15th congress of the European Society of Retina Specialists (Euretina) 2015 (Nice, France).

In March 2016, Dr Alibet took part at the Frankfurt Retina Meeting, later on October 2016 he has earned a travel grant to the DOG conference in Berlin with his poster "Features of clinical characteristics of eyes with retinal detachment complicated by choroidal detachment".

In Apil 2016, Dr Alibet was present at the Retina Lviv Conference (Lviv, Ukraine).

In March 2017, Dr Alibet attended an Observership training in Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital in the vitreoretinal department under the supervision of its director Prof. Thomas J. Wolfensberger.

In May 2017, Dr Alibet attended the European Vitreoretinal Training School 2017 in Bremen, Germany.

He is member of prestigious ophthalmological societies as: Euretina, EVRS, ASRS, DOG and the Ukrainian ophthalmological society.

Dr Alibet has excellent social skills and speaks Russian and Arabic as native languages (mother tongue); he talks fluent in French, Ukrainian and English.
