The ICO will be co-organizing an ophthalmic education session at the 2017 Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) congress in Lima, Peru. The PAAO congress will be held from 9–12 August 2017.

8:00–10:00, Ichmal 1& 2,  SYM 192 : Estrategias innovadoras en la evaluación de residentes (Coordinated by Eduardo Mayorga)

During the session, there will be six presentations, four of which will be in Spanish without translation offered. Participants must be registered to the PAAO congress in order to participate in the ICO Educator Session. Learn more about PAAO 2017.

Join the ICO for a reception for the ICO Ophthalmic Educators Group (ICO-OEG), Member societies and ICO Examinations and Fellowships.

Meet with ophthalmic educators from the region and ICO Education Leaders to discuss this exciting new ICO Special Interest Group, and learn about ICO sessions at PAAO. 

The ICO-OEG was formed to support educators and teachers of ophthalmology in recognition that ophthalmic education is a distinct subspecialty of ophthalmology. The ICO-OEG will provide a platform for collaboration, networking, and professional development for everyone interested in ophthalmic education.
