Dr. Ana Gabriela Palis will lead this course with Dr. Peter Quiros.

This course will increase participants' skills in making lectures more engaging, active, and effective.

Participants will be able to (1) apply the adult learning principles involved in creating meaningful presentations, (2) organize content logically, (3) design slides adequately and clearly, and (4) present in an interesting, interactive way.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to list the adult learning principles applicable to the creation of presentations, provide a structure to each lecture that allows a logical organization of knowledge, apply principles of slide design for a clear and organized presentation of content, summarize the communication skills needed for an engaging presentation, and apply three strategies for increasing interactivity during lectures.
