The ICO Chicago Conference for Ophthalmic Educators will be held on 27 October 2018 from 14:00–17:30, at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Chicago, USA. Please keep reading for more information about the educators' conference and how to register.

Join Us in Chicago, USA: Conference for Ophthalmic Educators

The upcoming Conference for Ophthalmic Educators in Chicago, USA offers expert instruction, interactive workshops, and group discussion for ophthalmic educators. The Conference will be held prior to the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) meeting at McCormick Place Convention Center on Saturday, 27 October 2018 in Room S504 from 14:00–17:30.

Educators of ophthalmology residents, fellows, medical students, CME, and allied ophthalmic personnel will learn about the latest tools and practice techniques of modern education. Participants have the opportunity to attend their choice of two workshops during the session.

The Conference is open to all registered attendees of AAO 2018 and no course passes are required for this session. Categorized as a symposium of AAO 2018, the Conference can be claimed for CME credit as part of the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ designated to AAO 2018.

Certificate Program in CPD Foundations

The “Certificate Program in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Foundations” from the University of Toronto is a webinar-based program meant to provide fundamental theory and skill training with a focus on practical issues commonly experienced in the design, development, and implementation of continuing health education (CHE).

The Foundations Course consists of 10 modules delivered through interactive webinars spaced over a 9-month period beginning 16 October 2018. Mentors and readings will be provided in between webinars and participants are encouraged to apply what is learned in the webinars and readings to their own practice setting.

WOC2020: 26–29 June 2020 in Cape Town, South Africa

The World Ophthalmology Congress® of the International Council of Ophthalmology will include a scientific program of over 350 sessions addressing all subspecialties and related interests in ophthalmology. Revenues from the WOC help support ICO programs, including ophthalmic education, society and leadership development, and advocacy.
