Conference for Educators: Hyderabad, India

Ophthalmology Webinar Network

The Ophthalmology Webinar Network shares live and archived lectures from residency programs around the world. Coordinated by the ICO's Director for E-Learning, Eduardo Mayorga, the intent of the Ophthalmology Webinar Network is to maximize existing resources from residency programs and expand educators' access to them.

If you belong to an institution that runs webinars, please let us know if you would like to list them in the Network.

 Similarly, if you train residents and would like to share your lectures in the Network, please also contact us at educators@icoph.org if you have comments, questions, or need assistance.

EYE EXAM: Diagnostic Procedures in Ophthalmology

EYE EXAM, from the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna,  interactively visualizes and explains the diagnostic techniques of modern ophthalmology.

Animations present the basics behind examination techniques while video sequences show the procedures as they are performed. Interactive modules allow the user to perform procedures on the computer in a playful way. The site is available in both English and German.

MedEdWorld Webinars

MedEdWorld Webinars focus on educational topics of current interest in the healthcare profession. The webinars offer an opportunity to engage online with an international expert and like-minded colleagues from around the globe in a live, one hour discussion.

Access is free to members of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). Nonmembers are welcome to participate for a fee of £25 per webinar.
