The 4th annual Eyexcel meeting took place on July 26-29 at the Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology facility in Madurai, India. Thirteen teams from hospitals in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Mexico participated, which was designed to improve or facilitate creation of new eye-care training programs. The program was co-sponsored by the ICO.
The Eyexcel course utilizes a variety of teaching methods and addresses curriculum development, program evaluation, administrative skills, methods of e-learning and principles of sustainability.The next Eyexcel course will take place July 17-20, 2012, in Madurai, India.
