ICO Board approves 2011-2015 Strategic Plan

The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Board of Trustees approved the 2011-2015 Strategic Plan on September 20, 2011 by mail ballot. The Plan begins with ICO's mission and then outlines strategies to reach four long-term goals in Education, Eye Care Delivery, Society & Leadership Development and ICO Organizational Development.
Included in the organizational changes are plans to reduce the terms of ICO officers and to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ICO issued a "Call for Applications" for the CEO position in September 2011.
