Conference for Ophthalmic Educators at AAO Annual Meeting

The next ICO Conference for Ophthalmic Educators, "Improving Teaching Effectiveness," will be held on October 18, 2014. The Conferences offer expert instruction, interactive workshops, and group discussion for all ophthalmic educators.

"The latest tools and practice techniques––and an opportunity to connect with other educators from around the world--are intended to further improve teaching effectiveness," said Dr. Karl Golnik, ICO Director for Education.

The Conference will take place during the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, USA.  It is co-sponsored by the ICO, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the European Society of Ophthalmology.

Workshops at the Conference for Educators in Chicago will include:

  • Helping Residents Develop Critical Thinking
  • Assessment Principles and Tools
  • Presenting on the Web: How to Develop Successful Webinars
  • Effective Structured Feedback and Resident Remediation.
