WOC2018 By the Numbers

As we look towards the upcoming year, here are some exciting numbers to consider about the 16–19 June 2018 World Ophthalmology Congress® in Barcelona, Spain, which is now just months away: 

The Invited Program consists of 225 sessions addressing all subspecialties and related interests in ophthalmology: 

  • 119 sessions covering 25 subject areas organized by invited subspecialty program coordinators 
  • 68 sessions organized by 45 subspecialty, 39 national, 5 regional, and 4 supranational societies 
  • 28 sessions for Subspecialty Day (Saturday, 16 June) covering 7 subspecialties: cataract, cornea, glaucoma, orbital and oculoplastic surgery, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, refractive surgery, and retina 
  • 10 ICO Special Symposia covering a wide array of topics.
