ICO and TOS Join Forces For Ophthalmic Education In Turkey

50 Ophthalmology specialists from various areas in Turkey and Azerbaijan participated in a two-day Residency Program Directors Course in Ankara.
Co-hosted by the Turkish Ophthalmological Society (TOS) and the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), the course covered adult learning principles, curriculum design, resident assessment and teaching skills.
Course chairs, Karl C. Golnik, MD (United States); Pinar Aydin, MD, PhD (Turkey); were joined by renowned international ophthalmology instructors Marko Hawlina, MD of Slovenia; and Anthony C. Arnold, MD; Andrew G. Lee, MD; and Bruce Spivey, MD of the United States.
