CME Task Force Explores Accreditation for Ophthalmological Society Meetings

Heather Mack, MD, Chair of the Meeting Accreditation Sub-Committee, has produced a document proposing an ICO accreditation mechanism for national and supranational society meetings. It proposes reasonable standards and criteria for national societies seeking accreditation, for both developing and developed countries.
The proposal is currently being discussed by the sub-committee members and the ICO hopes to soon be able to facilitate continuing medical education credit for meetings and congresses.
