January 31, 2013 ICO Board Elects Hugh Taylor Next ICO President
Meeting on January 15 in Hyderabad, India, the ICO Board of Trustees voted to elect Hugh Taylor, MD, AC, to be the next President of the ICO. He will succeed current President Bruce Spivey at the close of the 2014 World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC)®, scheduled April 2–6 in Tokyo.

November 24, 2012 New ICO Exam Offering: Foundation Formative Assessment
In 2013, the ICO is introducing a new low-cost, open-access, online Foundation Formative Assessment for trainees, either prior to or during their first year of ophthalmology training. The assessment uses statement-based, picture-based, or video-based practical questions and also employs a confidence indicator.
