ICEH offers courses in community eye health
The International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine offers a variety of courses related to preservation of vision, including a Masters in Community Eye Health, teaching units on eye diseases and training workshops outside the United Kingdom.
Organized by Dr. Daksha Patel, the one-year Masters in Community Eye Health is designed for eye care personnel who have or could have leadership roles either within their governments or in non-governmental development organizations (NGOs). Nearly all students come from developing countries.
Individual courses which make up part of the MSc, otherwise known as modules, can also be taken. These include:
- Childhood Eye Diseases and Ocular Infections
- Non-communicable Eye Diseases
- How to Plan and Implement a Vision 2020 Project
