Experts will lead discussions on hot topics and the latest trends in a casual and sociable environment that will excite and encourage participants to question assumptions and fully engage in the learning experience. A buffet-style breakfast will be served. 14 tables are offered each day covering topics in seven major subspecialties with limited seats available:

COST: The fee to attend is €37 per day (plus 21% VAT) to cover the cost of the breakfast buffet. Attendance will be limited to 10 people per table, including the experts. WOC2018 is now offering surgical skills training courses where you can develop your techniques in a wet or dry lab environment as well as gain experience with the latest ophthalmologic technology, including a chance to perform virtual simulated surgery. Each course has a limited number of participants, so please register early.

3D LIVE SURGERY

The Barraquer Institute offers a 3-D Live Surgery event that will for sure catch your attention.

 

Experience cutting-edge surgery in real time. Watch and learn as expert ophthalmologists at the Barraquer Institute use the latest techniques and tools to conduct cataract, corneal transplantation, refractive, micro-invasive glaucoma, vitreoretinal, and other surgeries on real patients. An on-site facilitator will describe the procedures as they happen concurrently in three operating rooms, and attendees at the Fira Gran Via Convention Center will be encouraged to engage and ask questions. The 3D live surgery event is open to all WOC registrants.
