The ICO-Ophthalmology Surgical Competency Assessment Rubric (OSCAR) is a standardized, internationally-valid tool to teach and assess an ophthalmologist’s competence in performing surgery. The ICO currently offers OSCAR's for Extracapsular Cataract Extraction, Phacoemulsification, Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS),  Strabismus, and Lateral Tarsal Strip Surgery. Selected ICO-OSCAR's are available in Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese, as well as English.
