This 2008 report on assessment and rehabilitation assesses functional vision, which describes how the person functions in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).  This distinguishes the report from those that measure visual functions (such as visual acuity), which describe how the eye functions.

The report was prepared for presentation at the World Ophthalmology Congress – Hong Kong, 2008 of the International Council of Ophthalmology and the Vision-2008 conference – Montreal, 2008 of the International Society for Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation.
