This report deals with the measurement of visual acuity and was prepared by the International Council of Ophthalmology Visual Functions Committee. The report was published in 1984.
The Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) chart, which is advocated in this report, is now the de facto international standard.
