ICO Database of Ophthalmologic Societies and Residency Programs

Ophthalmologic Society and Residency Program Information Available Online

The International Council of Ophthalmology has revised and expanded its database of information about ophthalmologic societies and has added ophthalmology residency training programs around the world.

Information on Societies

To obtain information on a national or international society, either:

1. Type the name of the society or key words from that name (e.g., "European") in the first box below to the right of "Society Name:"
     Or
2. Select the country where the society is based from the pull-down menu next to "Country:"
     Or
3. Select one or more subspecialties or other interests from the pull-down menu labeled "Subspecialty or Interest."

Then click on the "Search" button. You will see a list of societies that meet your search criteria. Click on a society name to see the information on that society.

If you enter a word and select one or more categories from the pull-down menus below, you will see only those societies with that word in it that meet the other criteria (e.g., only societies with "European" in their name that focus on Glaucoma.)

Leaders of ophthalmologic organizations can make changes to the information listed for their society or residency programs in their country by going to http://www.icoph.org/soc/update.cfm and entering the user name and password for their society.

If you don't have or can't remember your user name and password, contact the ICO at info@icoph.org.
